Law Office of Esti Miller
Lawyering with heart

Biography

Formerly a partner in the firm of Rosenthal & Miller, LLP, Ms. Miller founded the Law Office of Esti Miller in September of 2007.

Esti
represents individuals in all walks of life, including artists, writers, musicians, business men and women, construction contractors, realtors, Insurance agents, and conference organizers, as well as all types of businesses, including internet based businesses and non-profit animal rights organizations.

Esti's  practice consists of two components, the first of which focuses on corporate and general business law, working with start up and small companies in their formation, operation, and strategic alliances, and counseling with respect to corporate, partnership, LLC and contract matters.   The second component is estate planning, including the review and preparation of living trusts and wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and pet care planning.  These two areas often merge when a client's estate planning needs also involve corporate law issues, and vice versa.

Esti is a graduate of Loyola Law School, admitted to the California Bar in 1996.  She has worked as “in-house counsel” in a corporate legal department focusing on international expansion and regulatory matters, and has years of valuable experience representing individuals and companies in connection with the formation and operation of their businesses.

Before going on to become a lawyer, Esti gained valuable legal experience during ten years of work as a paralegal in the areas of copyright and trademark infringement, libel and general business litigation. She is the published author of an article entitled NAFTA: Protector of National Intellectual Property Rights or Blueprint for Globalization? The Effect of NAFTA on the First Sale Doctrine in Copyright Law. 16 Loy. L.A. Ent. L.J. 475 (1995).

Esti received her BA degree in psychology from Bar Ilan University in Israel. She is fluent in Hebrew and speaks some French and German.

Esti is a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Business Section and Animal Issues Committee; and the International Alliance of Holistic Lawyers.  As a “holistic” lawyer, Esti views her role as helper, healer, and counselor, using the law as a foundation in addressing the whole person, relationships, and all of her clients’ complex business as well as personal needs.
